My name is Monica Bermanto. Now I’m studying at Binus University, my major is English Literature. To participate in a student exchange or to study abroad is my biggest dream since I was a kid; if I can study abroad I want to study in the U.S. All I have to do right now is to improve my English skills.

When I was in kindergarten, I did not talk very much. When I was in elementary school, I started learning English for the first time, English in elementary school is not hard at all, when I started junior high school English is a little bit difficult than before because in junior high school we have to learn tenses, sometimes I’m always nervous when the teacher asked me about the tenses because I did not really understand it. When I was in senior high school, English was getting more difficult than before because I still confused about tenses and also the exam is getting more difficult than before and I almost gave up, but a few weeks before the national exam started, I studied hard to get a good score in English, and when the results was out, I got a good score.

Now I am an undergraduate English Literature. I want to study abroad in the U.S so I can speak English fluently and also know the daily life there. I am planning to study in the U.S for six months and I will stay in my auntie’s house so I do not have to use a lot of money to rent a house.

There are some capabilities that I have which will be useful when I study aboard. Those capabilities are English speaking skills, able of using technology, someone who always wants to learn new things. In the future, I would love to work in the U.S, and I might live there as well.

Personal Statement

My name is Monica Bermanto.Now I’m studying at Binus University,my major is English department.Be a student exchange or going to study aboard is my biggest dream since I was a kid,if I can going to study aboard I will studying in America.All I have to do right now is improving my English skills.

Hi, my name is Monica Bermanto but you can just call me Monica or Mon.I was born in Jakarta , 1997 and I don’t have any brothers or sisters.My hobbies are watching horror movies and also listening to music.
To be honest, I don’t want to talk a lot about myself because I’m not the type of person who can just share a lot of things in social medias.Anyway,  my favorite horror movie is The Conjuring,I watched it like 3 times with my cousins,my friends,and also my parents.
My favorite music genre is EDM (Electronic Dance Music). Why I love EDM?  Because everytime i listen to EDM,it makes me happy and I listen to EDM since I was in primary school 😂 . I know it sounds a little bit weird lol, but yea that's me 😂!
I like eating food, my favorite food are pizza and fried chicken.Everytime I order pizza, i always order at Pizza Hut because it’s near my house so I just have to using a motorcycle. For fried chicken, this one is also my favorite food because it’s so yummy,I have a habit when I eating the fried chicken I always separate the skin from the meat.
I tell u guys before that I’m a horror movie lovers,so sometimes after I watching horror movies,I always search something on google or youtube,because I was so curious and I want to know more about paranormal activity.If I watching some horror videos , it can make me more easily to sleep,yes I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHY,because basically if someone watching horror videos they will cannot sleep well because they always imagining ghost before sleep.And I also like going to haunted places like Belanda’s cave and Japan’s cave in Bandung,and Fatahillah museum,there is so much history and also paranormal activities.
Many people are scared with horror stories but I don’t even scary at all,because back in the day I was hear someone outside of my house calling me like 3 times ,before I know that was that “thing” I thought my mom was called me from downstairs so I’m going downstairs to check if that is my mom or my aunt,after I check THERE WAS NOBODY THERE so after that I’m going back to upstairs,two or three minutes later someone just shout out my name to open the door,and it’s a GIRL sound so I’m going back to downstairs to open the door.When I want to open the door THERE IS NO ONE OUTSIDE OF MY HOUSE,so after that I called my mom for asking if she’s already on the way to home or not,she said that she’s still  hang out with her friends. So,WHO shout out my name to open the door?hmmm. (11 PM)
